So long 2009...

Oh my, 2009 is almost over. This year has been a heck of a roller coaster! I'm surprised I survived this part of the ride.

  • Sat next to my sister at the hospital while she was in labour
  • Stood next to my sister's side while she gave birth at 1am
  • I became an aunt on June 8, 2009 to Alexander Julian
  • Made it thru school without sleep (more than 5x)
  • Made it alive with a sleeping disorder
  • Got a 4.0 GPA for 2nd term of freshman year
  • Became closer with my mates from UB

They don't want you to know where it came from...

I recently saw a documentary called FOOD INC., I'm sure y'all have heard of it.
I was really taken back by what I heard and saw, it made me think twice not only of our country, but our world it is today. I thought it'd be a documentary like SUPER SIZE ME, but whoa was I surprised. I thought eliminating beef, pork, milk products, and chemically filled beverages from my diet would make me "healthier". I was wrong. I was disgusted by what I saw. I honestly felt betrayed. My opinions and views about the FDA and our government definitely changed. I know our government is not honest; they're deceiving and manipulative. I know they inject "growth hormones" into cows, pigs, and chickens so they'll grow faster to be slaughtered. What I didn't know was that they add gasses and chemicals to (some) vegetables and fruits. I never paid attention to that. I view vegetarianism differently now. Honestly would not turn vegetarian for the animals, I would do it for my health. I do care and sympathize for the animals, but they get killed whether we like it or not. We live in this world stressing our lives out for the matters of money and power. Industrialism and Imperialism have changed in this country, for the good and bad.

You really have to watch the documentary.

MONSANTO is one of the most evil companies out there.

I hate corporate America.
I now understand individuals' reasons for hating Wal Mart.
